Congratulations! A new paper of our group, "Thermal Alteration in Adsorption Sites over SAPO-34 Zeolite”, is recently published on AngewandteChemie. This work helps promote our insights of the dynamic nature of active sites in zeolite under the flow of adsorbate molecules for adsorption and catalysis. To better identify the structure of the active sites in zeolites under real reaction conditions, we demonstrate that the adsorption mode of acetone over classical Brønsted acid sites (BAS) can be thermally converted into the induced Frustrated Lewis Pair (FLP) adsorption mode in SAPO-34 zeolite. This work sheds new light on the importance of the dynamic structural alteration of active sites in zeolites with adsorbates at elevated temperatures. (https://doi.org/10.1002/anie.202204500)
